My lovely wifey hit this last year prior to me deploying to Iraq. She was going to try a bench press meet (that ended up getting cancelled) before I left. I wrote up a little improvement program for her, and we hit it, and she ended up nailing 245, paused on chest, no powerlifting equipment (like shirt or anything) and no steroids or any other type of 'strength enhancer'
so, 245 bench, raw, no juice. I keep telling her that 245 is a darn good press, but she kinda brushes it off and doesn't think it's that big of a deal.
I asked this on 2 other boards, and got a grand total of 3 responses, so I'm just trying to get a "wider opinion"

OMG hell yeah - 245 for ANY women even on the ones on steroids is a great bench. Damn - a natty too.
I'm impressed as hell with that. My best for 1RM press is 170. She should be proud of herself.

Someone sent me some links to the World Drug Free Powerlifting Federation and the USA Powerlifting Federation's records, and she would apparently be holding the records in both federations up to about the 100kg weight classes, despite not having a bench shirt on.
