Anyone see that powerlifter missing gobs of muscle mass in places because he "was a powerlifter doing limited powerlifting exercises" before he dieted down?

Did Johnny Jackson before he came over to bodybuilding have to think "oh man im missing muscle mass all over the place because I was a powerlifter...its going to take me 3-4 years of bodybuilding training to catch all these flat, no muscle mass spaces i have all over my body up with all these severely hypertrophied bodyparts" (ridiculous) Dante, i just have to ask, and this is probably going to piss off a lot of people but please remember, i dont have "the eye" with bodybuilding.

What about Trey Brewer? yes, gigantonormous legs and all, but what about his back/lat width? even as a powerlifter a good bench takes strong lats, so he should have those, but trey's look underdeveloped, even to my untrained eye.

There are plenty of BB'ers out there that have a weak bodypart or two. How many guys do you see out there that don't have a single lagging bodypart? Not many except for the cream of the crop. A lot of development has to do with genetics which obviously you cant change. My chest is my best developed bodypart by far, and I bench like a girl

Show me a bodybuilder/powerlifter/weightlifter outside of the top 10 in the Olympia and Ill show you someone who has a weak bodypart or two somewhere....now your talking about genetic weaknesses on individuals.

Trey follows a split now, when he was 19 that's when he powerlifted, he made those amazing gains in the last couple years working with his trainers, who now says he's training lighter and with a split.

So he doesn't train for strength anymore, well that's what i got from it.

mmm i see so it is a genetic thing. it just seems very exagerrated, i mean more so than most. i mean at most times i'm not able to pick out weaknesses at all. i sure as hell can't see em on my own and maybe if someone points them out then i take a second and think maybe, but most of the time even then i don't see the weaknesses. but when i saw pics of trey i saw it immediately, thats how bad it seems to me. thats why when it was like "i used to be a powerilfter" i started thinking, even PLers had bigger lats then that cuz they hit lat pulldowns really hard for the bench. i mean no offense and i hope none is taken.

I love these threads, so inspirational, and I think more for DC'ers because we have a lot in common with the powerlifter, more than the bodybuilder who has to angle his pinky to match the earths lines of longitude to grow better peaks
