Have there been studies that demonstrate anti-catabolic effects of ephedrine PRIOR to exercise? I know it's anti-catabolic in general for a variety of reasons, but Lyle cited a paper showing ephedrine to DECREASE the catecholamine response to exercise.
Why don't you just do normal (running) sprints, they're done in no time.
Par once told me that taking smaller doses of E frequently throught the day (12mg every 3 hours) would be pretty good for preserving muscle.

I thought it was 12mg eph/100mg caffiene 5-6x daily, instead of the normal 25mg/200mg 3x daily.
I've tried the former, with which ended up giving some antidepressant actions, and prevented the ups and downs of 3 doses daily..

As for albuterol for fatloss, I recommend AM's IBE subforum.

What I really want to know is why someone would choose albuterol or clenbuterol over Salbutamol. It promotes lean mass a hell of alot better, along with that whole fatloss thing.

I can't reference anything here, but I thought some degree of catabolism was pretty much inherent to the nature of long, steady-state cardio, since the body wants to adapt to it by carrying as little weight as possible - so any unnecessary muscle is broken down/minimized.
However I do believe that if you're weight training, and lifting heavy, the catabolic effects of this type of cardio are probably overrated, at least for endos and mesos. That said, a lot of cardio can be draining, and that in and of itself can slow strength/hypertrophy gains since it can slow recovery. The key is balance - not going overboard on cardio.
I've always employed some type of steady-state cardio into my mass and cutting programs, and as long as I keep lifting heavy and eating/sleeping appropriately, I have gained fine, and haven't lost too much muscle while cutting - at least not initially.
I'm starting to believe that maintaining very low bodyfat is actually more potentially catabolic than reaching that state.
Kicking ass is my comfort food
