How do you get rid of body hair for a contest or photo shoot without getting razor burn and shit like that? I have a photo shoot coming up, and I get all kinds of razor bumps and shit when I shave*, and I'm dreading shaving for it...like...wtf do you do ot avoid that kinda thing?

*I have had to shave my knees and ankles so I can tape them up before rugby matches.

Anthony...

This is the best product IMO right now to fight razor bumps / burn, I use it all the time around the bikini area if I shave...other than that I wax (so much easier)

The only other thing I can suggest is to wax

Waxing is not happening...I'm part Italian and I think I'd bleed to death...

I just spoke to bmf2 about this on the phone. She said I have to like...exfoliate and start shaving daily or at least EOD....use a good razor, try some mentholated shaving cream, and all this other stuff...

Stop tanning a week out, use tanning cream straight through, etc...

I did a shoot for Ralph Lauren and it took less preperation....

In fact, they even told me not to shave my face!

no waxing - WIMP!!

use a girly razor too - Venus is the shit!! Def a good shaving gel/foam - again, a girly one, i believe would work better. Corn starch drys the area out after shaving to avoid the red bumps.

cornstarch... need to try that. my husband got bad razor bumps. NAIR irritated his skin too much and the razor left bumps. he used a good one and shea butter shaving gel.

Thanks for the suggestion Sienna.

The trick for me is to shave several times before. The first time I'd get bad razor burns, after that, not so much.

does the cornstarch work along the same lines as rubbing alcohol? I mentioned this to DH.. he uses that and was skeptical on the cornstarch. ......
