I've been on Melting point for roughly 10 days now (started 6 pills/day, now up to 8), and I notice I am holding a lot of water around my midsection & chest... is this caused by the mp? I am also taking Sesathin and I am on a 2800 Kcal/day diet. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh most definately. Most people hold 5-10lbs of water while using MP. It took me several weeks to lose most of the water retention after I came off of it. I did a very long cycle of it.

If you find any duiretics that work do tell. Caffiene doesn't, and no one's given me good feedback for dandilion yet.

Jodi,

was MP worth it for you? I want to give it a try, but the feedback has been very mixed. I'm always up for trying new things, I just like to be completely "sold" on a product before I do.

Yeah that's the same for me. I am using MP and LipidFX together and i am suffering with some water retention. I have been using around 3g of dandelion root per day, and i haven't really been going to the toilet anymore-it doesn't seem to have made any difference at all

If the theory of the upset to the sodium/potassium pump we have is correct, the only thing i can see helping the water retention is potassium itself. I can only see high-dose diuretics dehydrating you and causing cramping.

Taraxatum should work then Rob...it should increase K levels.

Sorry Rob. Taraxatum is dandelion. Its a K-sparing diuretic so it should have the effect of increasing K levels systemically. However, from the reports above it doesn't seem to work in this case.

Hey Robboe, Do you recall that thread on Am.com where someone said methyl-baet helped him drop water on Melting Point. I sort of dismissed it because I couldnt see how it was relate, but he sure sounded adamant about it.

I saw that post and was curious whether anyone had verified these results besides that original poster. Mechanistically it does not compute for me.
