typically your protein shakes will already have carbs in them. in my case when i cut up, i added a little extra glutamine to my shake and took it to the gym and began drinking as soon as i was finished.
you really need to watch what type of protein you buy because some companies load the powder full of sugars while others keep it at a minimum.
BTW, if you are going to be taking creatine, i suggest staying away from products such as cell tech because of the high sugar content. Diamatize (sp) makes micronized creatine without any additives.

trust me on this bro. Hit a 1/2 cup oats, 20g gluta in 6oz grape juice.
Then wait half hour and eat....something like 6-8oz steak, 1/2 cup veggies, no carbs(cept what's in the veggies)
Well I have the 100% Why Protein anyways....I'm not sure about the creatine yet as well...but I have very little carbs in the protein, and theres not a load of sugar either...I'll let you know about the creatine....I have been eating like a chicken breast or a steak every 2hours....pretty plain....but thats what I have been eating for my small meals....gonna bring BBQ and A1 tomorrow though....it'll be much better that way.
I might have to pick up some gluta, I know I'll have to get some grape juice...I'll let you know how it goes....

Buffdiggity you the man....I have been trying to find a good recipe for taking my glutamine and I finally found it...........Thanks bro..
